Enhancing your brand... Naturally.
Acceptable files are: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, eps and PSD files (Mac or PC), High resolution PDF files. Photoshop images must have a resolution of 300dpi, RGB or CMYK. Images with lower resolution will be pixilated or blurry. Please outline all type to avoid font issues. The general rule is that the quality of your label largely depends on the quality of the artwork you provide to us.
Microsoft Word / Office files are unacceptable.
We want to ensure that the art material you provide meets your expectations when printed. Labels are printed on flexographic presses; therefore some effects are best avoided. The following guidelines are provided to assist you. Please read them carefully.
If you have any questions, call us at 1-877-664-1500.
Adobe illustrator (CC) is preferred to avoid additional production charges. Files may also be created in Photoshop. The low resolution (72 dpi) files extracted from the Internet cannot be accepted. Multiple color line art images should be created with a vector based drawing program (such as Illustrator).
All color must be converted to CMYK or PMS (no RGB). Pantone colors give the best results. Gradients may be used, however, our printing process does not allow for screens to fade to 0 percent. All gradient screens should be made to the minimum of 3 percent.
Trapping: Do not create any traps; we will do it for you. Bleeds: 1/8”
All image scans must be at least 300 dpi at 100 percent (actual size). Files below 300 dpi will not be accepted. Do not change the resolution from a lower resolution to 300 dpi without rescanning the image––this will result in a low quality print. All color scans must be in CMYK and should be saved as .jpg or .tiff files (.jpg with maximum quality should be ok). Once an image is placed in the document, do not change the file name.
All fonts must be provided on disk or outlines created in Illustrator for minimum text. Avoid using thin rules or typefaces in reverse areas, we suggest a 4 pt. minimum, and not smaller than a 1 pt. rule.
Please provide a color proof for 4 color process labels or a black and white proof for other labels. Every effort will be made to match color for 4 process labels, however, we cannot guarantee an exact color match. We will give our best effort to match PMS spot colors, however, there may be potential variances.
